GDFI sends officers to Ateneo Professional Leadership Program
The road to self-improvement can be as complex or as straightforward as we'd like, so it is different for every person. What is constant, though, is the pursuit of opportunities that lead to it. Global Dominion recognizes this, and never stops finding ways to give its officers the chance to become better at what they do.
Lea Ellar, the head of GDFI's Releasing Department, and Sam Carino, the head of the Marketing Department, will be attending a Leadership and Management Development Program at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business - Center for Continuing Education, HV Dela Costa Campus. The program is intended for senior managers of the top corporations of the Philippines.
Lea leades a team of more than ten loan processors stationed at various GDFI branches. Her capable management of the Releasing Department is critical because all essential documents pass through the department before the final release of loans. She balances strict compliance with a friendly and light attitude: a temperament that has earned her both respect and admiration from her peers and subordinates.
Sam is Global Dominion's 'main man' when it comes to driving the company's sales. There are few positions as challenging as his, especially given the nature of the industry the company is in. He performs excellently, though, spearheading new outlets and implementing new marketing strategies to improve the company's visibility. He leads GDFI's team of Branch Managers and Officers-in-Charge, tasking them with firm but reasonable standards. His leadership style is based on the company values of integrity and excellence, and he evens them out with his casual good nature and charm.
The full leadership program that Lea and Sam will be attending will run for twelve weeks, starting from March 11 to June 19. Sessions will take place three days a week, Thursdays to Saturdays. Twelve courses comprise the program, and among them are: Core Management Skills, Core Functional Skills, Business Ethics, Strategic Thinking, Managing Change, and Business Process Improvement.
GDFI strongly believes in developing high-potential leaders. Lea and Sam both fit the bill, as they are senior managers of the one of the most prominent low-interest loan providers in the Philippines. There's always room to advance further, and this training program will prepare them for higher responsibilities. In the future, Global Dominion will extend the same opportunities for professional to other potential leaders.
